Some objects are a modest part of our daily life and yet we use them poorly. Yes, I’m teaching you here and now, we make mistakes with our fridge, mistakes with our freezer, mistakes with power strips, and of course mistakes with our hair dryer.
But if there are any mistakes I can’t stand, it’s the mistakes we make with our moisturizer. Pull yourself together damn it.
Apply cream to dry skin
Okay, so let’s start with the basic mistake we all make: slathering ourselves with cream after vigorously drying our skin. It’s bad. The cream will penetrate better on damp skin, so somewhere you are spoiling your cream a little by applying it to 100% dry skin. Be careful not to do the complete opposite by applying your cream to wet skin, which doesn’t work either. You have to find the right middle ground, the right balance, a bit like in life in general.
All you have to do is create your cream:
Apply it with great vigor and violence
When we put cream on ourselves, and we don’t like ourselves, we sometimes act hastily and rub our skin brutally, insulting our reflection in the mirror. Don’t fucking do that, respect yourself. The cream will work best when applied gently and in circular motions. Don’t hesitate to kiss your reflection afterward because we need a little love in this world.
Use any cream
Yes I know, it might sound crazy but some punks use creams without really knowing what they are putting on their face. For example, to name just this ingredient, they use creams with paraffin.
Yeah I know it’s shocking, you might as well put soda on your face. In short, paraffin isn’t so much that it’s toxic, it’s mainly that it gives the illusion of hydrated skin when in fact it’s not at all. So please watch what you put on your skin.
Thinking that you don’t need cream because you have oily skin
Yes, Clothilde. There are some. And yes they are wrong. Should we therefore put them in prison? No Clothilde.
The fact remains that people with oily skin must also use cream, but they must adapt the choice of their cream to their skin type.
Apply cream only to the face
Until proven otherwise, we have skin everywhere on our body and not just on our face, so it is normal to put cream everywhere. Naturally on the neck, the torso, but also the legs, buttocks, and the back of the knees.
ON THE HOWEVER, and you certainly expected it, we do not use the same cream for the face and the body. If we push it a little further, we should use different creams for each part of the body to be hydrated.
Keeping the same eight-year-old pot of cream
The annoying thing about cosmetics is that we always have too many and so rather than finishing one, we let 25 jars go moldy (YES 25 POTS). Error. Creams also have a shelf life. And the worst part of all this is that when they die they don’t benefit from any ceremony… In short, it can take anywhere from 12 to 24 months so try to respect these deadlines.
