Teenager or adult, blackheads make your life difficult: pay attention to your lifestyle
Acne is the multiplication, more or less significant, of comedones (more commonly called blackheads), and red pimples, which can become white pimples. It is the sebaceous glands that produce sebum, to make the skin soft and protect it from external aggressions: this sebum is excreted on the surface of the skin by a channel, which itself ends in a pore.
When there is excess sebum, which often happens during adolescence when hormones are out of whack, but which can also happen later, the pores are then clogged by sebum and a mixture of dead cells and bacteria that do not regulate themselves, and this creates comedones.
If the obstruction persists, the skin pore will become inflamed and create red pimples, called papules or nodules. And when it turns white… It is because it has filled with pus. The first rule to strictly observe to overcome acne is to observe a balanced lifestyle!
Blogger Camille G., in her column Dis bye bye à l’acné, gives you all her advice to finally get rid of your unsightly spots. Her advice covers diet (she has eliminated gluten and lactose), the relationship between the glycemic index and acne, but also the solutions that essential oils represent.
Beat Acne with a Daily Facial Routine
First of all, you need to be careful to use non-comedogenic products. Products containing mineral oils, for example, are very waterproof by nature and therefore prevent the skin from breathing and sebum from regulating normally. Get into the habit of cleaning your skin twice a day, morning and evening, and carefully remove your makeup if you wear makeup.
Always use gentle products, such as micellar water or rose water, and do not scrub too hard so as not to damage the skin. Regular scrubs can also help you beat acne, about every week; they will eliminate impurities and dead skin, which will thus not clog the pores of the epidermis.
Some products can promote acne, which explains why it’s not just teenagers who are affected. Touching your face too often is a “risky” behavior: hands are the part of the body most covered in bacteria, they come into contact with everything! So limit their contact with the face – this is also the reason why you should not touch an acne pimple.
Fatigue, stress, and smoking can be triggering factors, as well as the consumption of foods that are too fatty or too sugary, such as cold cuts or chocolate.
Natural products to restore baby skin
Some products in your fridge can help you beat acne: lemon, for example, is known for its antiseptic properties. You can use it fresh, or as an essential oil; be careful, however, never apply more than 2 or 3 drops of pure essential oil directly to the skin, and never to the mucous membranes (so not near the eyes).
You can also use tomatoes as a mask: they contain an acid that helps close pores and fight bacteria. Finally, green tea, which is very astringent and antioxidant, can help eliminate acne spots; you can use a tea bag soaked in warm water and place it directly on the skin.
Many essential oils can help you get rid of blackheads: Tea Tree in particular, or tea tree essential oil, which has very strong antibacterial properties. Some people also use toothpaste to dry out the pimple and thus limit excess sebum, but this is not an effective way to clean the skin, and you have to be careful that the components are natural.
Finally, for your internal hygiene, drink plenty of water, eat fruits and vegetables, possibly take brewer’s yeast as a food supplement for the skin, and do sports: all of this should help you beat acne!
