Four original ways to wear the pendant
What do you hate most? It’s looking like everyone else. Your goal, every morning, when choosing your clothes and accessories for the day? To display a unique look, while remaining fashionable, of course! It’s no wonder that your favorite piece of jewelry is the pendant. Because there are at least four original ways to wear it, which will allow you to stand out from the crowd. Here they are!
As a necklace
Forget the pendant nestled in the hollow of the neck, swinging docilely at the end of its chain, and offer it the big jump by hanging it on a sautoir. This large format necklace, which slips between your breasts to go down to your little navel, is right on trend!
Its strong points: we adopt it as well during the day as at night, to add flashiness or on the contrary chic to our look (depending on the models).
Its prescriptions: it works wonders on turtleneck or high neck sweaters, long-sleeved T-shirts, and plain prints, but does not go well with floral or multi-colored fabrics and bustiers.
Her ideal pendant: as discreet as possible! Large or medium-sized, in chiseled silver or solid gold, decorated with brilliants or even diamonds. For example, a tree of life with generous branches, set with zircons.
In good company
A pendant that shines in the neckline of a blouse, in your eyes, it’s a look worthy of the schoolgirl that you are no longer! This does not mean that you should give up wearing your pendant on a chain around your neck, as tradition dictates. On the other hand, nothing prevents you from personalizing it by giving it a little company. Indeed, why settle for a single pendant when the same chain can accommodate several?
Its strong points: the multi-pendant look is the solution you need if you have several pendants and don’t know which one to choose, and to gives an original look to a classic piece of jewelry.
Her recommendations: wear it as a single piece of jewelry with a simple outfit (for example, avoid a frilly blouse or a sequined sweater) to avoid the overly-important effect.
Her ideal pendants: not too bulky and, if possible, slightly different shapes to highlight each other. Play on associations, such as three cat pendants (a large one in the center, two small ones on each side), or a flower pendant, surrounded by a tree and a sun.
Has a bracelet
Who says pendant, necessarily says chain? Wrong. Who says pendant, also says bracelet. And who says bracelet, says the possibility of giving a second life to your pendants, by proudly wearing them on your wrist (or your ankle) rather than against your heart!
Its strong points: hanging a pendant on a bracelet will allow you to personalize both, and to create your jewelry according to your desires. You can also very well wrap the chain of your pendant on your wrist to improvise a custom bracelet!
Its prescriptions: your pendants will easily slip onto a thin bracelet, such as a chain or curb chain. If you want to pair yours with a Brazilian wire bracelet, why not, but make sure the latter is solid. It will also be possible to replace charms with pendants (just to give a new look to a bracelet that has already been seen a lot on your wrist).
Its ideal pendant: avoid pendants that are too heavy to wear, made of silver or solid metal, whose weight could hinder your movements. For the pattern, let your imagination run wild: an animal pendant will work just as well as a cross or a four-leaf clover.
Like a brooch
Yes to the pendant worn on the chest, no to the traditional chain… and yes to the pendant worn as a brooch! To do this, nothing could be simpler: all you need is a judiciously adjusted safety pin, and there you have it, your jewelry box is adorned with a new treasure… and your look with a new style!
Its strong points: the brooch pendant leaves complete latitude to your desires. You can dare the multi-pendant brooch (provided they are small), or use the support to hang a single pendant, your favorite, which will swing gracefully.
Its prescriptions: in its luxurious version (consisting for example of a family jewel pendant) the pendant brooch is perfect to highlight a suit or an evening dress (it will add cheerfulness to a little black dress). In its fancy version, it goes well with a casual look, for a weekend in the country or a party with friends.
